Hi! My name is Amelia Ramnauth and I'm in the 10th grade at York Early College Academy some of the coolest things that I find my teachers doing to help our experience during quarantine learning become better is just their creativity so that we get creative. For example, our Chemistry teacher Mr. Shiv he always uses acronyms and music to help us remember everything that we learned in class. Mrs. Suero, whenever we have a project she allows you to use any creative sources or websites that you might want to use that you find helpful towards you and Mrs. Roa our history teacher she allows you to do your own research to speak about anything you want, such as politics religion, anything you're passionate about and they just allow you to use your voice and to carry out things the way that's most comfortable to each individual student which I find is really helpful during quarentine Hi! My name is Craig and this is a video about why remote learning is good and why I love it. Come on. so this is a desk and this is a couch this is another couch. I often like to sit here, here but not over there. It's still a good place to sit though. You can study in any anywhere over there and it'll still be efficient when you type on your laptop it's so much easier than just writing on a piece of paper. You know you won't have to struggle with like erasing and stuff. All you have to do is just press backspace. Hi, my name is Kendra and I'm in the 8th grade One thing I really like about remote learning is using digital resources that we didn't use before. One app I really like is desmos and it has a graphing calculator and a scientific calculator and it's really easy to input the equations and the numbers. Because in the physical graphing calculator there's way too many buttons and it's really confusing so it just makes math way easier and also desmos makes tables and graphs for you when ever you want so thats pretty cool Hi, my name is Zion Bryan. I'm in the 8th grade and what I like most about online learning is that the teachers still try to incorporate a lot of the components we have in school. For example, we do a lot of team work and team building. You can see this when we do a lot of breakout rooms Where we work with our peers and classmates so we can get a better understanding of the different topics we study. We also do a lot of projects based on team work where we can work with our friends and other students so we can do better. Thank you! Hi, my name is Dana and I'm in 10th Grade. No matter how we are learning whether it was in person back then and now fully remote my teachers have always maganed to keep us connected before every class they would ask you, how are you Dana? How are you feeling? they always make sure to check in on you, make sure that your day is going well and I feel like that's really important with what's happening right now in the world the most coolest thing I have done during remote learning is actually do an experiment during class at home. My teacher Mr. Shiv, he allows us to do these really cool experiments that are safe and he walks us through step by step It would basically be just like how we were in school, in a lab and I find a really cool. Hi, my name is Vishal Budram and I'm a 6th grade student of York Early College Academy. I'll be discussing the pros and cons of remote learning. Two of the pros that I have is that after class is done we get to watch videos instead of taking notes. Another pro that I have is that I'm at home and I don't get disturbed a lot. Two con's that I have is when we don't get to met any of our friends in person and get to know them better. Another con that I have is that sometimes our work doesn't get saved and there should be something else to help us with that this is why I think remote learning has pros and cons in it. Today I'll be talking about some things that are very enjoyable and helpful that me and all of my classmates benefit from every day. When we go to class everyday on our lives meetings are teachers always greet us with an open and heartwarming welcoming to our class everyday. Our teachers are always making jokes and laughing with us all the time, even when doing our work but they make sure we get our work done on time always. They'll make sure we have a safe and fun space to talk to each other while being productive with our work like ain Math class with Mrs. Kahn. She'll always have a meme of the day for all of us and we have time to have fun conversations every Friday in class if we want to. The teachers keep us on the bright side of online learning. Hello everyone. My name is Ethan Balgobin and currently I am a student in York Early College Academy and I'm in the 10th grade. At a time of uncertainty unprecidented events I think it's important that us students, even in this time of dark, allow a glimmer of light to shine through a way of remote learning In it's essence time and again we've all tried to manage plan a route in virtual learning. Hoping that that route will prosper and flourish for what will and may be a way to learn through another method. Ultimately, I found the way in which we are learning to be more stress-free more than ever before. For we are graded for the actual work we put in based on classwork assignments that allows us to get more consistent feedback rather than understanding the material doing all the work and only for all of it to mean nothing with that shocking 75% they may get on a test that can ruin your marking period average. I believe that school is going very well and giving the current circumstances with the help of dedicated teachers us students are able to bloom. And you can even get snacks! Snacks are delicious and I use them a lot for studying. You even get drinks like seltzer which I love a lot and this is why I love remote learning because I get to spend time in this beautiful room
